In the environment of PT Golden Blossom Sumatra, there is currently an ongoing Adendum process, which involves the construction of waste ponds for the palm oil mill production. As of July, 5 waste ponds have already been completed. The primary goal of wastewater treatment is to break down pollutant contents in water, especially organic compounds, suspended solids, pathogenic microorganisms, and organic substances that cannot be naturally decomposed by microorganisms.

Furthermore, PT Golden Blossom Sumatra actively conducts environmental quality standard measurements. The purpose of environmental quality standards is to assess the environmental condition, whether it has suffered damage or pollution, and to determine if environmental damage or pollution has occurred. The company also has a Temporary Storage Facility for Hazardous and Toxic Waste (TPSLB3) and does not manage B3 waste separately.

The TPSLB3 is used to store hazardous and toxic waste, with the aim of preventing the release of B3 waste into the environment, thus mitigating potential environmental hazards. PT Golden Blossom Sumatra collaborates with a third-party, PT. Pramata Madya Kencana (WPLI), for the transportation and disposal of B3 waste, and reports this activity to the Environmental Department every 3 months.
